Summary and Next Steps:

I have participated in the Rhode Street Kai Festival for three years now and have contributed and supported my colleagues well. I have learnt to be organised and actively communicate during the preparation of the festival so colleagues understand what I'm doing.
As a result of my festival experience I have been able to give oral advice to teachers who are new to the school about their preparation techniques and selling methods.

Evidence - emails

I try to support my colleagues when ever possible and vice versa. I try to up skill and gain knowledge when I can, so asking peers for advice or guidance isn't an issue for me.
I feel that with the beginning teachers starting at Rhode Street I have knowledge to  contribute to them about how the school is run and about good teaching practice. I don't claim to know everything about best practice but do feel I have enough to offer new staff to the school.
A possible next step for me could involve being a tutor teacher.

I have enjoyed the challenge of being the head of P.E this year. I have tried to promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle through sport. This was evident with the 'Tough Rhoder' event for seniors in the first term. I have been in contact with other sport programmes to have other events at the school.
For example - rugby league skills training, a fundraised fun run event (cross country).
I am currently trying to create a school wide fitness booklet similar to the numeracy booklet to track and monitor student/teacher progress in teaching and learning P.E.

I have attempted to take on other responsibilities within the school such as Road Patrol, Peer Mediation and organising House Points. There are many teachers at Rhode Street that have more than one important responsibility and role so if I can lessen the load in some way, I will try.
